How do I set up Yahoo mail to allow mail items to appear in both my iPhone and my laptop?

The e-mails are stored on the Yahoo server so it seems as if the Mac is receiving the e-mails from the server. I would recommend to try going to mail.yahoo.com and try to log into the account that way from your Mac and then use the mail app on the iPhone. You can also use the new Yahoo app for iPhone and this may help your problem.
